# Create a Tour

> Set up a tour with dates, day types and locations, then fill in the details as plans firm up.

A tour is the container for everything else: schedule, stays, venues, guest lists, bulletins and chat. Creating one takes three quick stages: **name it**, **date it**, then **shape each day**.

<Tip>
  **You don't need every detail to start.** Rough dates and a couple of cities are plenty. You can create the tour with gaps and fill them in as the routing lands.

    Every day gets a type so everyone knows what kind of day it is at a glance, e.g. **Show day**, **Travel day**, **Rehearsal day** or **Day off**.

    A city or a venue. It anchors the day on the map and powers route calculation for travel items.

    Your first full tour is free. You only need a subscription to run more than one tour. See [Sign up](/guides/sign-up).

## Editing later

Plans change. Daysync is built for that.

| What | Where |
| - | - |
| A day's type, name or location | Select the day and click the **pencil icon** (web), or tap **⋮ → Edit day details** (mobile) |
| The tour's start or end date | **Tour Settings** for that tour |

<Note>
  Once your days are in, start adding schedule items, stays and venues. The [How Daysync works](/how-daysync-works) video walks through each tab.
